Admission into Oxford High School is open to pupils who have been successful in their First School Leaving Certificate examination and who have either passed the Common Entrance Examination into College or have been successful at the yearly entrance examination organised by the College.

2nd cycle students will have passed at least four papers to the right subject combination to qualify for admission into sixth form. There may be additional competitive examinations organised by the college where this is deemed to be necessary for selection for the sixth form
